Fern

Fern is a New York City native, hailing from Staten Island, NY. He grew up with the disco and pop radio of the late 70s, and rock and pop music of the 80s. He was then later introduced to what would become the bands of the 'Big 4' (along with many others) right about when "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son" and Metallica's "...And Justice For All" were still new albums. The varied musical styles he'd enjoyed through the years, including metal, hip-hop, classical and electronic music could be heard through as influences in his playing. He’d played with various original bands from the early 90s through 2004, and eventually in the Northern New Jersey cover band scene from 2002-2004. After a short hiatus and relocation to the Washington DC area in 2006, he'd found new opportunities in the DMV cover and original band scene. Reaching back to his metal roots, he'd been offered an opportunity to tap into his nearly life-long Iron Maiden appreciation to help "Eyes of the Nile" continue to carry Eddie's tattered Union Jack through Iron Maiden's legendary music.

Influences: Steve Harris, Cliff Burton, Jason Newsted, Sting, Leonard Hubbard (...& many others...)
